January
28, 2007:
I'm back working full-time at "As The World Turns, "
honing my guitar riffs and creating new sounds for the show. On
the "Sisters" front, I'm looking forward to the U.S.
premiere in March. Word is the film might play at the Philadelphia
Film Festival, which would be close enough for me to attend.

October
18, 2006:
"Sisters" had its world premiere at the Sitges International
Film Festival on October 13th, 2006, and it will have its North-American
Premiere October 25th, 2006 at the Festival du Nouveau Cinema
in Montreal. My co-composer, David Kristian, lives in Montreal
and will attend the screenings. How exciting. I wish I could be
there. Advance word is good on the music. I'll let you know more
after the 25th!

August
30, 2006:
Kazu Makino, singer from Blonde Redhead, was in the studio today
laying down vocals for "Sisters."

She
did a tremendous job, and gave us a variety of choices -- so many
good ones, in fact, I'm going to have a difficult time deciding
what not to use. Look for Kazu to be featured on the theme and
end credits, and you'll also hear her as part of the score.

I've started recording cello solos with Gretta Cohn for the score
of Sisters. Gretta's fantastic. She'll be featured on the theme,
the lullaby and Bach Suite 1, and is contributing some funky sounds
for our sound design. Gretta plays both cello and electric cello
and has a classical and rock background. She spent four years
in the band Cursive and recorded for Saddle Creek Records.

(left to right) are me, Gretta, and Sisters' music supervisor
Janice Ginsberg, and Gretta recording in the studio.
